Yeah, baby! First, let me say this: I am a devoted fan of One Tree Hill, so it's not as though I haven't been watching this season - I watch it religiously or I tape it if I'm not going to be home. That said, I haven't really been able to dig this season too much. The story lines weren't making a lot of sense in relation to the characters development and some of the story lines were just plain ridiculous. Last night, however, OTH finally got its groove on and was able to get back in touch with its roots. The episode last night was absolutely perfect because the characters were finally truly themselves. It was reminiscent of the early days. No stupid story lines - just the gang living their lives and working through their shit without being ridiculous. I really hope the rest of the season follows along in this vein because, if it does, it will be one of the best seasons yet! A few favorite scenes: 1) When Nathan helped Jaime at school by dunking basketballs and wearing a red cape, 2) When Haley sang with the street singer, 3) when Lucas & Peyton made up, 4) when Mouth was asked to become a sports anchor for the OTH news station, 5) when Brooke & Haley were drinking tea and encouraging each other to get back what they're passionate about and have fun with it. Ok, so that's a lot of scenes and you're wondering what could be left of the episode, right? Well, let me tell you, friends, the episode was so good there were way more than those 5 scenes that I really enjoyed but they weren't my favorites! Oh, OTH, thanks for being such a delicious, guilty tv pleasure. :-)
