Ok, so I may have more than one lilac bush but the bush I originally thought was a lilac (in addition the 50 year old bush that is definitely a lilac) is not! I have no idea what it is but it had these really pretty flowers blooming right now. They look kind of like tiny, pointed, open tulips - but on a bush, you know. Also, in addition some of the mystery plants are revealing themselves to be various varieties of iris. They'll probably be ready to bloom within in the next 2 weeks. And, I have some lovely hyacinths blooming that are making my yard smell quite nice. I have taken some pics but haven't uploaded them to the computer yet so I'll show you pics later. (the pic you see at top is not from my yard)
